Allysia + Matt {Rehearsal Story}

I have been blessed to be a part of the most amazing wedding in my career. The locations were amazing, beautiful, and the lighting was simply perfect, but most of all, it was the people. Allysia and Matt are two of the most wonderful people you can ever meet. They are fun, passionate about life, and they have wonderful families that love them dearly. The following is a little taste of the images I was able to capture for them during the rehearsal for their wedding. Congratulations Tiffany & Adam

I was fortunate enough to photograph Tiffany and Adam’s wedding in East Troy Wisconsin. Tiffany and Adam were so much fun and relaxed the whole time that is was clear they were having the time of their lives. I was fortunate to be a part of their special day. For both Tiffany and Adam family is very important and it showed in the little details, like Tiffany wearing pieces of her grandmothers wedding gowns with their names embroidered on her own wedding gown. Another great gesture on their part was that instead of having a receiving line and having all their guests congratulate them, they had everyone stay in their seats after the recession and then they walked back and thanked everyone for coming. They did this for every one at the ceremony. What a great thought. The ceremony was held at Saint James United Methodist Church and after they were married we headed out to the town square which presented some great photo opportunities, but my favorite was by the old train station, which is actually like a museum. From there we went to the Evergreen Golf Club for the reception and I was able to create some really fun images of them. Amy & Dan’s eSession

Amy and Dan’s engagement session was the second one I did on 10/21/2007 and it was a good thing we were able to work out a time for their session around the time of sunset because the light was just amazing. Amy and Dan were just a great couple that were really into each other. I barely had to ask them to kiss and they happily complied. There was a little bit of drama, but one that played out just great. Amy and Dan selected the Hotel Baker Bar in Saint Charles IL because that is the place they had their first date. The restaurant has a large patio overlooking the Fox River and on the patio there is a beautiful architectural structure in Mediterranean style with a private table. That is where they sat for their first date so the location was full of significance and romance. Well, when we got there there was a couple sitting at that table and Amy was worried that they may not get pictures there, but as it turns out, once we started taking pictures the couple offered Amy and Dan the place for pictures and after that it was all smiles and kisses for the rest of the session. Those guys are greatly in love and it shows, the way they look at each other, they way they hold each other, they were great. Here is a small sample of the images I created for them.

Kacie & Shane’s eSession

I had the privilege of photographing Kacie & Shane’s engagement session. For their session they selected to take the pictures at the Herrington Inn in Geneva IL because of the old style buildings and the part across the Fox River where we could go and take more pictures. Kacie and Shane have been together for over 3 years and they will be getting married in Feb. 23, 2008 in Palatine IL. Kacie and Shane are a great couple, Shane is a bit more reserved but all in all we had a great time and were able to create some really cool images for their engagement session.

My Second Awesome Photograph…

As you all might know, a while back I submitted 3 pictures to the editors of Awesome Photographs to be considered for publishing on their site. I was surprised to receive a reply that all 3 images made the cut. The first one was of Martha by the water. This second one is of two very good friends of mine who are getting married on Feb. 3 in St. Josephs Catholic Church in Harvard, IL with the reception being held at the Old Town Hall in Crystal Lake IL. This is one image that exudes their love for each other and no words were necessary, their eyes and touch were expressing much more than words could ever say. I hope you like this image as much as I do. And a big Thank You to the editors of Awesome Photographs.
